It’s that time of year again, where the Christmas food starts to appear and the struggle to ignore the temptation to stuff your face is real! It’s getting colder and colder, sugary treats seem to line almost every shelf of our local supermarkets and lots of us have spent the best part of 12 months stuck at home (too close to the kitchen fridge)!

Indeed, sticking to your diet goals and meal prep schedule is hard enough during the festive season – but even more so after the year we’ve all had. Oftentimes, bodybuilding meals seem no way near as appealing as your typical Christmas meal or festive feast. But here at Diets 2 Go we’re here to prove that perception wrong!

With that in mind, continue reading for Christmas meal ideas you can sink your teeth into, while remaining guilt-free and on-track with your diet goals.

Breakfasts of Champions

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, no matter the time of year. There’s no better way to start the day than with scrambled eggs (protein rich and good for you) and we have two versions of this staple delight on our menu. Both are seasoned with coarse black peppercorns and Himalayan rock salt, available with either chorizo sausage or vegetarian sausage. As far as bodybuilding meals go, it doesn’t get much better than this morning time treat.

Beef Tenderloin Just Like Mum Makes it

If you’re a fan of roast beef on your Christmas dinner – why just wait until the big day to indulge in some beefy goodness? You can have beef tenderloin with white potato for a healthy take on the Christmas classic, or with seasoned rice for something a little lighter. Juicy, tender and rich in flavour – just like your mum makes it! Choose this as part of your meal prep order and save on the time and effort it takes to plate up this Christmas cracker!

BBQ at Christmas? Tennessee Style!

Like your beef a little bit saucier? No problem! Celebrate Christmas Tennessee style with our BBQ mince and white roast potato. Black pepper, smoked paprika, and 3 secret herbs and spices makes our delicious southern-style BBQ sauce. This lean choice is paired with radish, broccoli, spring onion, and crispy Charlotte potatoes – or steamed basmati rice for a lighter version. Meal prep heaven in a box!

Try Something Different with Chicken

Turkey usually always steals the show around Christmas time, but chicken is equally as delicious and a lot more versatile. Try something different and jerk up your chicken! Our signature jerk sauce recipe means you can have yourself a Caribbean Christmas, let your meals be light! From now on your meal prep troubles will be out of sight!

A Little Snack for Santa

We all like a little snack every now and then, especially around Christmas when ‘every now and then’ becomes almost ‘twenty-four-seven.’ There are so many good things to eat around this time of year, many of which will almost definitely put you on the naughty list. With these delightful organic oat biscuits (made with oats, honey, blueberries, coconut oil and ginger) you can snack without worrying about the naughty list, and even leave some for Santa!
